Tracfone

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TracFone for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was driving home this morning after dropping my soon-to-be 3rd grader off at Summer School (Ok - truth be told, I was driving to McDonald's first, to grab my Diet Coke - then on to home!! LOL) anyway... the radio was on & they were announcing a contest - be the ## caller & win tickets.  You know the type.  I reached for my cell phone only to remember that it is currently in another state! That's another story for another day.  I felt so naked without it right there by my side!!  Then my mind flashed back to a time before we all had cell phones.  Man - how did we ever manage!!?? LOL

Do you have a cell phone?  Probably.  Do you have one that comes with an obnoxious monthly bill?  Probably.  Do you wish it was way more affordable to have this essential accessory? YES!  Well - it is - or, at least, it can be. Tracfone.  There are no activation fees, no contracts, no cancelation fees, no credit checks and no surprises!  It's a great choice for that newly independent tween that has been begging for a phone or for the technology fighting grandpa that has been trying to resist.  Or even for someone like me who likes to have the phone for convenient little check-ins while I'm out & about but isn't super chatty. Right now I have the LOWEST possible plan with my service provider but it is still nearly 4-times the minutes I need.  Imagine how much money I (and YOU!) could save with an easy, no-fuss plan from Tracfone!

Here's some of what they offer:

Monthly Plans:

• Pay as you go online or with cards available at thousands of retail stores across the country.

• 1 year service cards give you so much more. Receive double minutes for the life of your TracFone, and 800 minutes, for only $119.00

• “Double minutes for the life of your phone” is a feature that can be purchased separately for only$19.99, but some phones include it!

International Long Distance:

• This is the only wireless service where you can call internationally, for the same price as any other call.

• Call over 60 international destinations directly from your TracFone at no extra cost!

• With the International Neighbors program, you can provide family and friends in Mexico or Canada a local phone number in those countries to reach you at your TracFone in the U.S.

• Choose monthly plans with 200 minutes for under $30.00, and as low as $9.99 for 50 minutes.

  1. Good post. Getting your kid a TracFone can be a win-win deal. They get a phone and you have the ability to keep in touch with them by voice or text. They now have NO excuses for not being in touch. Ha!

You can also use it to teach them about money management. Use it as part of their allowances. A certain number of minutes allotted each month.

    Nice!

  2. Many moons late on this one but we use to have Tracfones and changed to StraightTalk. They're owned by the same company (which they don't tell you but it's Walmart in a backwards political way) and I really like it. $30 a month for 1000 minutes, 1000 txt and photo messages. Not 1000 for all, 1000 each. Minutes and messages are considered separate! Or you can get the $45 for unlimited everything plan. And they do have some decent phones! ;) We've considered getting on a cell plan but these bounce off of Verizon towers and aren't nearly as costly. We were looking at a small family plan and payin $250+ per month. Now if we get one for our oldest son and keep ours it's only $135 a month for unlimited minutes. I love saving money :)
